Over the course of several days in June, 1942, the bodies of seven British sailors washed ahore on our southern beaches. They were buried in small cmemtery at the Oak Grove Baptist Church. A young girl in the congregation felt badly that there were no flowers for the graves so she adorned them with pine branches.
