June 22, 1807 – British Ship, HMS Leopard fired on the unarmed American Frigate Chesapeake 3 miles off the coast. Three Americans were killed.
June 1927 – First permanent telephone Company building in Virginia Beach on 22nd Street opens.
June 25, 1988 – 200th Anniversary of Virginia’s ratification of the US Constitution. The Event was held at Upper Wolfsnare.
